Do you offer 24/7 service?
Yes, Drivon operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year.
Which areas do you cover?
We provide vehicle recovery and transport services across the entire North Island.
Is my vehicle insured during transport?
All vehicles carried by Drivon are covered under Limited Carrier's Risk in accordance with New Zealand law.
Pursuant to the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017, our liability is limited to $2,000 per unit. We strongly recommend that owners maintain their own comprehensive insurance policy for high-value or prestige vehicles during transit.
What should I do immediately if I break down on a motorway?
Safety is your priority. Move to the shoulder if possible and turn on your hazard lights. For immediate assistance, visit our Breakdown Assistance page or call us on 0800 374 866.
- Stay Visible: Keep hazard lights on to warn other drivers.
- Stay Safe: If you cannot get off the road, stay inside your vehicle with your seatbelt on. If you are on the shoulder, exit from the passenger side away from traffic.
- Call for Help: Contact Drivon immediately. Do not attempt to fix the vehicle yourself on a high-speed motorway.
Do you transport non-running or damaged vehicles?
Yes, our fleet includes specialized recovery units equipped with heavy-duty hydraulic winches.
We can recover vehicles with mechanical failures, steering issues, or those involved in accidents. Please ensure you mention the vehicle condition when booking so we can dispatch the appropriate truck.
Can I leave personal belongings in the vehicle?
We recommend removing all loose valuables and personal items before transport.
